Come and Journey together

In and for this Cultural Moment

The Vision and Invitation

Watch to hear the vision and purpose for Another way. To pause from regular life; create space to be formed by Jesus - through an immersive, global church experience; learn applications of Scripture from teachers of diverse backgrounds and ethnicities; gain fresh perspectives on Kingdom living from local Ugandans; establish healthy life rhythms.

Find, Follow, Form

And now, just as you accepted Christ Jesus as your Lord, you must continue to follow him. Let your roots grow down into him, and let your lives be built on him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness. Colossians 2:6-7

Learn from Diverse and Distinct Voices

Teachers of various tribes, tongues, and nations - sharing applicable truths of Scripture through each one’s unique lens and story.

Engage Cross-culturally

Shadow local Ugandans in work and life. Observe how the gospel is lived and experienced, and gain fresh Kingdom perspectives. Be and learn more than do.

Live in Community and Establish Healthy Life Rhythms

Do life together and process learning in community. Work on patterns of healthy rhythms spiritually, emotionally, physically (rule of life), and put into practice.

Not A Mission Trip

By learning from local Ugandans, rather than being one to go and do something for them, one has a chance to de-center from the norm and look at issues of justice from a fresh perspective. There is much to learn from others; Another Way gives time and space for that.

You will be with them at their work and/or home and observe what they do and join in as able. Examples are to be with a tailor, mechanic, cafe employee, plastics maker, farmer, etc. You will have a meal and then learn about daily life and work, and see how their faith is lived out in that.

  • The Lacor Animation Center is your main accommodation throughout the session. You will be in your own en-suite room (single or double if married or wanting to share with a friend). It is a good, simple, clean guest quarters run by lovely people with a variety of indoor and outdoor space.
